Just saw "Children of Men" last night, finally, and am still in the midst of processing it. The camera-work ~ especially when done in guerrilla-style during the refugee-camp battle scene ~ was absolutely stunning. Themes which come to mind to tie the film together and ascertain some meanings: Those who see the bigger picture tend toward self-sacrifice, misguided fervour of original good intent leads to destructive extremism in either direction, scapegoatism in times of social/political/personal duress, tunnel-vision paranoia, governmental collapse, apocalyptic conjecture along the lines of Atwood's "Handmaiden's Tale" in terms of human fertility issues... That's the film, anyway.
And then we have this sweet, open-minded Lovely, who just seems to answer, in a sad, sick way, some questions raised by the film:

That, to go along with this, to continue to fill your heart with despair:
"At a town-hall event Friday in Minnesota, McCain took the microphone from a woman who had called Obama an Arab. McCain said, 'No, ma'am,' and he called Obama 'a decent, family man.'"
Yay, Humanity.
Just to leave you with an antidote of sorts with which to rinse your mouth and spit, here is something rather delightful and cool in a very danceable way. As it features some fabulous Flappers, how can one possibly lose?
